How to get the most from these templates
- Make them sound like you. Change a word or two. Customers can tell a pasted message.
- Use the person's name wherever you can.
- Send once. One polite reminder is plenty.
- Send soon after the visit, while it is fresh.
- Ask everyone, not only the customers you expect to be happy.
What not to put in a review request
- Wording that suggests what the review should say, or that only 5 stars are welcome.
- Pressure, such as asking someone to leave a review before they leave the premises.
- A different message for happy and unhappy customers, which is review gating.

Frequently asked questions
Is it okay to send a review request by text message?
Yes, as long as the customer has a relationship with you and you keep it short and to one reminder at most. Check the marketing and messaging rules where you trade, such as consent for text messages.
Should I ask every customer?
Yes. Asking only the customers you expect to be happy is selectively soliciting positive reviews, which Google's policy prohibits.
What should I say to unhappy customers?
Give everyone the same ask and the same link. If someone tells you about a problem, deal with it for its own sake and reply helpfully, without hiding the review option or offering anything in return.
Make asking effortless
Dazenga puts a tap-or-scan card on your counter. Happy customers go straight to your Google reviews, and anyone with a problem can tell you privately. Every customer sees the same two choices.
